When an advertiser using viewable cost–per–thousand impressions (vCPM) bidding clicks on his own display ad, Quality Score:
- is not affected because the click is automatically filtered out by Google’s invalid click technology
- improves for that placement because the clickthrough rate (CTR) increases
- improves for that placement because the vCPM bid decreases
- is not affected because clickthrough rate (CTR) is not a factor with vCPM bidding
When an advertiser using viewable cost–per–thousand impressions (vCPM) bidding clicks on his own display ad, Quality Score
Explanations:
There is only one factor is used to determine your quality score when you bidding mode is CPM, which it is the landing page quality, because you are paying for impressions not clicks.
When Adwords system detects invalid clicks on your ads, Google automatically filter these out of your reports so that you’re not charged for them. However, you still have the option to view invalid click data if you’d like to. If Adwords find invalid clicks that have somehow escaped our automated detection in the past two months, you are given credit for these clicks. To view these credits for invalid clicks, click the Billing tab. Any invalid click credits you’ve received will be labeled “Invalid activity” on the transaction history page and will be credited to you.
