  • Deliver videos in HD resolution.

 

  • Upload more than 100 videos per month.

 

  • Provide an SSH Key to your account manager.

 

Explanation:

 

YouTube offers a great way to manage your content at scale. Both SFTP and the Aspera Dropbox solutions give you such a possibility by allowing your in-house CMS to connect directly to YouTube.

If you own large quantities of content these solutions could make your life much easier. You can upload content faster and also manage updates or metadata at scale. However, this solution requires some technical knowledge.

So, what is a prerequisite to using SFTP or the Aspera Dropbox delivery method? Well, when these tools are really recommended only if you upload large amounts of content, it’s not a prerequisite to using it. First what you need, is to provide an SSH key to your account manager.

In Addition, please note that using Aspera is not free. So, a valid license is also a prerequisite to using this delivery method. However, if you need the ease of scalability and manage large amounts of content, they are great tools.
