Explanation:

 

A claim links a video to a particular asset with its ownership information, allowing the asset owner(s) to set a policy. Undoubtedly, the content ID system is a powerful tool. However, it comes also with some responsibilities. Note, that abusive or fraudulent claims may result in penalties including legal liability and termination of the partner account. That’s why you should manage and monitor your claims on a regular basis.

In other words, if you’re using the Content ID to identify and manage your content, make sure to use it the right way. For example, If you claim videos you don’t own, you could cause issues for video creators. Also, it could hurt your reputation. In addition to preventing over-claiming, it’s important to clean up any old mistaken claims you may have made.

So, if you’ve received a warning for over-claiming, first you could do is to sort assets by the number of claims. And, start reviewing assets with the most claims.
